Senior Projects Reveal Socially Aware Students
Courtney Sale Ross believes that one of the most significant things children should obtain from learning is social awareness. On the 28th of December 2009, the school’s senior projects helped expose a new fact: The Ross School’s students were budding philanthropists, especially at a time of economic crisis. The Ross School’s yearly projects included five thriving fundraisers from students who exemplify the Ross School dictum, “Know Thyself in Order to Serve.” Each student established historical consciousness of social matters related to contemporary issues and focused on creating a better future.
Harley Braun was one of the head of these fundraisers who knows that economic slumps make it difficult for everyone to meet health care needs. Braun’s project centered on a carnival hosted at The Ross School, with proceeds directed to Camp Sunshine in Maine.
Braun revealed his hopes that proceeds gathered from the fundraisers will make it possible for families to find a refuge from medical tabs and hospital visits that are an escalating trouble during the hard economic times.
Courtney Sale Ross founded the learning institution in 1991. The Ross School is motivated by her principle that leadership in today’s world requires one to adopt a global viewpoint, and that every discipline should be considered as lessons for real-life circumstances.
Courtney Sale Ross is also the founder of The Ross Global Academy.
