Can Liposuction Help You Get to the Corner Office
How Liposuction Can Help You Earn More Money

Nancy Etcoff, a clinical instructor in psychology at Harvard Medical School, the director of the Program in Aesthetics and Well Being at Massachusetts General Hospital, and the author of the book Survival of the Prettiest: The Science of Beauty, says the image we project can influence our destiny.
“Tons of research shows there are a lot of advantages for people who are considered beautiful or attractive, everywhere from the boardroom to the bedroom,” Dr. Etcoff says.
A UCLA study from 2009 shows that obese people have 8 percent less brain tissue than average-weight individuals and that their brains look 16 years older than the brains of lean individuals.
Women are turning to liposuction to give them an edge? In a Journal of Applied Pyschology study it shows that slender women tend to have fatter paychecks than average or overweight women.
In the WSJ blog “The Juggle”, they reported that in looking at the differences of earnings between men and women of different body sizes, the study’s author identified profound gaps. Women who weighed 25 pounds less than average-sized women in the sampling earned an average of $15,572 more. On the other hand, a woman who weighed 25 pounds more than normal-sized women made $13,847 less than their average counterparts.
Overweight employees are assumed to lack self-discipline, be lazy, less conscientious, less competent, sloppy, disagreeable, and emotionally unstable. Obese employees are also believed to think slower, have poorer attendance records, and be poor role models. (Puhl et al., 2001)
